| Seat and back are made in thin aeroplan plywood, which is manually bent prior to glueing/mounting. This gives the seat planes comfortable curvings without use of lamination or moulding tools. The large bending of the back gives the thin sheet material strength. The back is mounted through three slits in the seat and bottomsheets. The angled legs and rails have been created in 6.5mm birch plywood. In another version in thin stainless steel. Experimental prototypes were exhibited at SE 97. |
