HERON is a small, lightweight, stackable chair introduced at SE and Scandinavian Furniture Fair, April 1996.
The chair’s main characteristic is a unique, almost V-shaped, strongly winged top piece, delicately created of massive wood (e.g. maple or cherry). This top piece gives the chair a receptive, almost embracing expression.
The frame is made of Ø16 mm steel tubes, matte or shiny chrome.
When stacked the chair is "locked" as the cross-beam slides behind the seat of the chair underneath.
I have later designed the matching HERON pillar table programme for P.J. FURNITURE.
The chair and table have been exhibited at the Danish Museum for Decorative Arts 1997-98 a.o.
