| CINUS is a lightweight chair, and with its simple, innovative construction – in opposition to most chairs of this type – it can be stacked compactly. In the stack toppiece rests on toppiece so that a possible seat-upholstery is kept free of weight and thus pressure marks. The frame is created in Ø16mm steel tubes and the seat in very thin (6mm!) plywood with slits ensuring both ventilation and comfortable flexibility which adapts to the seated person. The architectonically calm chair was conferred with a design prize from the danish magazine Bo Bedre at its presentation at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair 1995. The chair is shown at The Danish Museum of Decorative Art, Copenhagen. The stack chair CAT, created later, is in the same family as CINUS. |
