| SYMPHONY is an integrated table series with many possibilities. It is based on two types of table legs with the same forms: A low, slight leg for sofa tables and a high, sturdier for dining tables, conference tables etc. The rail-less construction makes it easy to create tables with different shapes and sizes. A point of departure for this assignment was to create tables to function calmly and harmonically with the beautiful, classical chairs designed by prof. Ole Wancher and manufactured by P.J. Furniture, while they should also have an independent and modern character based on the newest production- technology: At the same time classical and modern. This goal has been reached by combining calm, vertical, cylindrical legs with the characteristic cone-shaped ending, elegantly kept free of the floating table top. The tables can be arranged together very sculpturally for e.g. conferences. To supplement the tables I later created a dining chair: MENUET. |
